Fences and walls around our gardens prevent hedgehogs from travelling between gardens to forage for food, find a mate and access nesting sites. By providing a gate into your garden for hedgehogs you can give them safe passage between gardens and help them avoid the dangers of crossing roads.
Our plastic 'gate' will cover the hole in your fence that they need for their access and provide a smooth edge making it safe for the hedgehogs to pass through and, let's face it the tunnel design of the 'gate' and the choice of colours to match with your fence will transform the hole in the fence into a stylish as well as a safe gateway.
So far we have this product available in four of the most popular fence colours for now: dark brown, terracotta, blue/grey and black. You can choose a single 'gate' or a pack of 2 just in case you need both in and out openings.
DIMENSIONS (approx at largest point):
- Hole width : 125mm
- Hole height : 125mm
- Overall width : 220mm
- Overall height : 165mm
Very easy to fit. Use the 'gate' as a template to mark the hole size by placing it against the fence and drawing round the internal edge. Cut your hole a little larger than the actual 'gate' outline to make sure none of the edges encroach over the plastic gate, keeping the access safe for the hedgehogs. Once you have cut the hole in your fence, attach the plastic 'gate' using screws. There are 4 predrilled screw holes to make attaching easy (screws are not included).

Manufactured by our parent company Linic Plastics Ltd, in Leicestershire UK from a hard wearing polypropylene which is UV stabilised. Long lasting and will not rust over time.
